Ladurée Paris’ new delicacy, Eugénie, comes to Canada on October 12
The French patisserie is introducing the global brand’s latest pastry creation to all Canadian Ladurée locations.
TORONTO, ON, September 19, 2023 – This year, globally renowned luxury patisserie Ladurée debuted its Eugénie pastry and Ladurée Canada is proudly introducing the delicacy to its Toronto and Vancouver locations on October 12. The exquisite creation takes its name from Empress Eugénie, the iconic Empress of the French and distinguished patroness of the arts. The delectable sweet biscuit pays homage to Ladurée’s renowned macarons while reimagining the concept, intertwining a crispy gluten-free biscuit with a melting core and a delectable chocolate coating.
Made with the finest ingredients, the Eugénie biscuit is available in a selection of eight gourmet flavours of rich chocolate, caramel, tangy blackcurrant, vibrant orange blossom, pistachio, delicate vanilla, Marie-Antoinette tea and rose.
The shape of Eugénie is distinctly reminiscent of Ladurée’s iconic historic emblem: the macaron. It displays irresistibly charming, soft pastel hues and the renowned ‘L’ initial is elegantly imprinted on the outer shell. While Eugénie embraces the timeless visual cues of the macaron, it offers an exciting reinterpretation.

Beneath its appearance lies a symphony of extraordinary flavours crafted from the highest quality ingredients. Each of the eight flavours available to purchase offer a one-of-a-kind experience of rich and complex tastes. These flavours are expertly elevated by the use of natural colors and an extraordinary fusion of textures. With every bite these textures intertwine, creating a seamless and decadent harmony of flavours.

Eugénie’s packaging is equally impressive as the treat itself. Presented in elegant boxes adorned with the iconic toile de Jouy pattern, the biscuit case pays homage to the timeless influence of Marie-Antoinette, a regal figure who has deeply inspired the essence of the Maison. Adding a touch of unmistakable sophistication, the emblematic Ladurée ‘L’ is elegantly embossed in a striking fuchsia hue on the box.
The elegant boxes come in sets of six, twelve, or eighteen pieces, and are available to purchase from Toronto’s Yorkdale Mall tea salon and First Canadian Place Exchange Tower location, the Vancouver Robson Street tea salon and two Vancouver carriage pop-ups at CF Pacific Centre and Vancouver International Airport. They will be available to purchase online at www.ladureecanada.ca for Canada wide delivery soon.
