Ladurée is offering its ‘Mon Chou’ macaron boxes at all Canadian locations 

 

TORONTO, ON, January 30, 2023 Ladurée Canada is celebrating Valentine’s Day with its Mon Chou collection of luxurious limited edition macaron gift boxes, available to purchase during the season. The brand is further embracing the season of love with romantic afternoon tea services and set lunch and brunch menus at its Toronto Yorkdale and Vancouver Robson Street boutiques from February 10 – 14. 

 

In Vancouver, where Ladurée has its own pastry laboratory, two limited edition cakes will be available February 6 – 15. The iconic and gorgeous heart-shaped Ispahan cake is offered in a two-person serving. In addition to this, the special Valentine’s Day version of the classic Religieuse cake created by Ladurée Paris Executive Chef Julien Alverez will be offered. For the holiday, Ladurée’s famous macarons can be customized with a personalized message ($1.50 per side). 

 

Through this collection of amour-themed offerings, Ladurée is making a declaration of love that is both French and sweet. Mon chou, mon petit chou, and mon chou à la crème are terms of endearment the French use towards the ones they love. These romantic expressions are perfect for Ladurée, the famous French patisserie known for its macarons, delicate pastries and cakes.

 

Love is all chou chou pidou

The collectable Mon Chou macaron box is designed in Ladurée’s signature green and decorated with a hand drawing of a Religieuse, the iconic French pastry. The pastry is illustrated in an exquisite pastel pink pierced with a golden arrow. Boxes can be selectively filled with eight ($40.00) or 12 ($57.00) macarons from an assortment of Ladurée’s classic flavours. 

 

Fill your heart

At both the Yorkdale Mall and Robson Street locations, Ladurée will offer a romantic experience of an afternoon tea service for two and set brunch and lunch menus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., each requiring a reservation. Ladurée’s Yorkdale Mall boutique and tea salon will be offering an exclusive Valentine’s Day version of its French toast. The signature sweet brioche will be served with a mango compote, vanilla ice cream, Chantilly cream and topped with pieces of raspberry macaron shell, passion fruit and finished off with a passion fruit juice pour.


Delicious declarations of love

Available only in Vancouver is the special Ispahan cake ($35.00) by Ladurée’s executive pastry chef from France, Alexandra Launay. This limited edition item is made with a rose macaron biscuit and garnished with rose petal cream, fresh raspberries and lychees. All Vancouver locations will also offer Ladurée Paris’ Valentine’s Day Religieuse cake ($12.50) made with delicate choux pastry, a mango centre and filled with mélilot Chantilly, passion fruit and decorated with raspberry marzipan.
