Creator Spotlight: Livia Rose
Meet Livia Rose, a Toronto-based fashion and lifestyle content creator. Inspired by Pinterest, people watching and re-watching 90’s movies and TV shows. Read more about her love for fashion, beauty and books in our Creator Spotlight.
What initially inspired you to start sharing fashion and lifestyle content?
I’ve been into fashion and beauty for as long as I can remember, always wanting to play dress up and study my mom’s makeup routine. I loved watching beauty/fashion bloggers on YouTube in high school and decided to create my own channel sharing similar content. Blogging on social media wasn’t as common back then so I was shy when people I knew began to find my videos. I let my fear hold me back and eventually stopped creating for YouTube, but my passion remained. Fast forward to 2020, the social media scene really started to pick up in Toronto and I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to put myself back out there. I’ve always had the itch to share what I love with the world.
Did you have any doubts about pursuing this career path? If so, how did you overcome them?
It can definitely be intimidating to enter an industry that is so new and constantly changing, but deep down, this was always a dream of mine. When I watched YouTubers back in the day, I always felt like content creation would be something I was good at because I enjoyed it so much. Although I wish I hadn’t called it quits on YouTube at 15, every experience brought me here which I am so grateful for. It was much easier to revisit having a public platform once I was older and more sure of myself and my goals. When I became clear on that, everyone else’s opinion just became background noise. It pays off to be vulnerable and put yourself out there!
Can you walk us through your creative process? How do you keep yourself inspired and maintain consistency with your content?
I never try to force anything – it just ruins the whole creative process. I love scrolling Pinterest, people watching, re-watching 90’s movies/TV shows. I always try to share whatever it is that I’m loving at the moment from fashion trends, to beauty tips, and other various things in my daily life. At the beginning of every month I love to brainstorm content ideas of things I’d like to share that month and create a list to refer back to.
You’ve mastered the ‘clean girl’ aesthetic with a personalized touch, who/what are your fashion inspirations?
Hailey Bieber has always topped the list for me! I love the contrast of preppy/feminine pieces combined with more edgier ones. I get a lot of my inspo from Pinterest – whenever I don’t know what to wear, you can find me scrolling on there! I also love everything Elsa Hosk wears.

You’re an avid reader — what’s your favourite genre and do books ever influence your content or personal style?
My favourite genre would have to be romantasy (fantasy/romance). I’m a sucker for a magical world! Fantasy books definitely make me want to embrace my more feminine/whimsical side, which definitely reflects through my style in the warmer months. In another world, I would love to wear a gown and tiara all day, but for now I’ll stick to my boyfriend jeans (comfort is key for me).
You’ve partnered with so many great brands, from eyewear to skincare and makeup. What goes into deciding if a collaboration is a good fit for you?
I only work with brands who I would genuinely wear/use myself. I always want my page to be authentic and true to me, so I would never share anything that I don’t personally love. A lot of my collaborations stem from sharing my love for the brand organically, which I think is so important.
You clearly have a love for travel! What has been your most memorable trip so far and what’s your dream vacation destination?
I went to Punta Cana with my mom last year and we had the loveliest time. I’m a sucker for a tropical destination, BUT my dream vacation destination is Portugal! I have lots of family there and have never been so it has always been on my bucket list. I’d love to visit Europe in general and hope to do so in the next few years.
Beyond what you’ve already achieved this year, are there any new goals or projects you’re excited to explore?
There are a lot of big and exciting changes happening to me this year that I’m confident will bring a lot of new opportunities my way. I’m moving soon and will be starting a new chapter so I’m really looking forward to being able to share this journey on my socials. I know many people will relate and I’m excited to share even more of my day-to-day life more candidly.
For those looking to build their own platform, what’s the best piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out?
Honestly, just to START! Start creating, start posting – it doesn’t matter if you think you’re bad at it. The only way to get better at something is to do it and to learn from it. I look back at some of my earlier content and think, “I can’t believe I posted that!?” But if I hadn’t started from there, I wouldn’t be here. Don’t wait for the ‘right’ circumstance to start. You always have value to share.
